European board examination in psychiatry 2026

Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share that registrations for the 2026 European Board Examination in Psychiatry (EBEP) will officially open on Sunday, 29 March 2026, with the deadline for applications on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The 2026 examination will take place fully online on Friday, 25 September 2026, providing psychiatrists across Europe with an accessible opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and achieve a recognised mark of excellence.
Developed collaboratively by the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), the UEMS Section of Psychiatry, and the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT), the EBEP recognises high standards of knowledge in psychiatry.
Successful candidates will be awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Psychiatry.
Eligibility requirements include:
• A primary medical qualification
• Completion of at least four years of specialist training in psychiatry
